The Mooikloof region South-east of Pretoria was for many years undeveloped farm land. Once the Pretoria East region began to develop from estates like Woodhill and Mooikloof a new interest was sparked and large scale development was in the making.
Today there are so many eco, lifestyle and security estates that home-owners are spoilt for choice and a price range that caters for a larger market and now includes the middle-class income groups.
The Hills Eco Golf Estate has its origin in the Mooikloof Estate as that estate is in completion and demand for new homes in estates is still on the rise.
The estate will attract a large base of income group due to the middle to higher income groups with values from the mid R2 mill mark to just above the R4 mill mark.
Features of the estate are of course its golf course which forms part of the landscaped communal areas for which owners pay a levy to the estate governing body for upkeep and the obligatory 24 hour manned access control, the minimum permissible footprint area of homes and their architecture which in the case of The Hills Eco Golf Estate tend towards a Balinese style with a contemporary edge.
One could assume the rental market in the estate would be in high demand as many foreign contract workers seek the exclusivity estates offer. The other benefit that could be considered when the financial pinch is felt is to let the property thus holding on to a large investment and the bond being serviced for that period of respite until financial stability is found.
The Hill Eco Golf Estate has the benefit of exclusive educational institutions having been established long before the estate was developed thus adding to the demand. Here is a list of some of the nearby schools; Woodhill College, Laerskool Elardus Park and Hoerskool Waterkloof.
Malls that cater to retail needs in the area are Woodlands Boulevard, Park View Shopping Centre and a bit further Menlyn Park Shopping Centre.
