Rondebult
is a mixed-use residential suburb situated in the greater Germiston
on the East Rand. As with many suburbs of Germiston, the suburb of
Rondebult was established as a need for housing for employees in the
mining-related industries like light-heavy engineering and
manufacturing and as mining dwindled the related industries
diversified into other areas of engineering and manufacturing, thus
ensuring the continued growth of the suburb as a sustainable
residential property market. The suburb offers buyers starter homes
and large family homes for the lower middle-class market along with
commercial property and vacant land.
Vacant land
in the suburb consists of farms, smallholdings and general lots that
are on the market at affordable costs. Developers of high-end
sectional-title apartment complexes and townhouses have an
opportunity to invest in this suburb and reap the rewards as the
suburb is in a prime location. All the major industrial and
commercial nodes are within convenient access to the suburb.
The
average sales value of a freehold home is around the R 570k mark
which would bring about a change in the property values once vacant
land is purchased and developed into sectional-title properties. The
suburb has convenient access to Van Dyk Road, the N3 and the R103
that connect to the major nodes.
Schools near
the suburb are Rondebult Secondary School, Alston Primary School,
