The suburb of Pomona was, until recently, small-holdings. The location of the suburb today can be described as prime due to its proximity to the R21 freeway and other amenities like malls, schools, industrial and commercial hubs.
The architecture of the suburb is a mixture of older design and with the newer fashion of Tuscan and Balinese will suit most of the markets taste.
It is important to mention the suburb is not adversely affected by the noise pollution of the OR Tambo Airport as what would be perceived. The benefit then is that the Airport is conveniently close for travel abroad and with South African borders. This also means that the Gautrain Station located at the airport is likewise conveniently close which means you can miss the congested highways to Sandton, Rosebank or Pretoria.
Property values indicate that the suburb is a middle-class suburb.
The ever expanding suburb is made up of freehold homes, townhouse complexes; apartment and cluster homes which mean a large market will find their ideal property in the suburb. Investors should also consider the suburb when seeking investment opportunities as the suburb is surrounded by the countries major industrial hubs like Isando, Meadowdale, Germiston and Jet Park.
All of which can be accessed via the R21, R24 freeways north.
Of course the suburb would need schools and retail outlets to see to these important needs and the suburb is not lacking in this department. Here is a list of schools close to the suburb Bonaero Park Primary School, Hoerskool Kempton Park, Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld High School and Laerskool Impala Park.
Malls close to the suburb are Glen Acres Shopping Centre, Aero Shopping Centre and Festival Mall to mention a few.
