The old suburb of Parktown Estates in perfectly in the middle of Mayville, Les Marais and Roseville. The suburb has a good balance of residential freehold home, apartments, townhouses and commercial property which is a diverse suburb for residents and long-term investors in the rental market. The suburb can be classified as middle-class with several upper-class homes. There are some tracts of vacant land in the suburb that earmarked for high-density sectional homes which will inject even more interest in the market thus creating a stable growth suburb.
Major roads which connect the suburb to industrial nodes to the north of Pretoria are Mansfield Road, Es’kia Mphahlele Drive and John Vorster Drive. These same roads connect to the south of the suburb, giving access to the commercial nodes in Hatfield, Menlyn and Brooklyn.
