Muldersdrift is a large tourist destination, mostly day travellers, tracing the origins of mankind. Located on the west rand it is the home of Mrs Ples, the most complete sample of Australopithecus africanus, she is logged in the fossil catalogue as STS 5, believed to be the distant relatives of all humankind.
Muldersdrift is located in Kromdraai valley, in the Magaliesburg mountain range which extends north past Pretoria. The Crocodile River is also part of the nature in Muldersdrift.
There is a rich tourist attraction making up income in the Crocodile Ramble with ideal location for wedding venues, with over 40 venues to choose from.
Muldersdrift also is a thriving and recognised arts and crafts hub which is reputed to be the largest in South Africa. Potters, astronomers and artists prefer the reasonably remote location and the proximity to nature.

The Wonder Caves, a showcase cave is reputed to the third largest cave in South Africa and has the highest number of humanoid fossils in the world.
Cradlestone Mall is opening in October, and is named thus because of its proximity and location to the Cradle Of Mankind. It is a mall with a footprint of 75 000 m2. Muldersdrift also has its own casino, the Silverstar Casino with all the amenities associated with a casino.
Muldersdrift boast a renowned brewery named Gilroy's Brewery.
