Nestled between some exclusive suburbs east of Jo’burg, sits the leafy suburb of Meadowbrook. Suburbs in this region of Jo’burg were originally established either to service the industrial hubs in Sebenza, Isando and the greater Germiston. Though the suburb is fully developed, there is a huge demand for homes in the suburb which consists of townhouses, freestanding homes and apartments.
From entry-level apartments for single people or young couples starting a family, to well-established families across the income spectrum are catered for. A mixed architecture is another factor that will draw the same large interest to the suburb which has a good mixture of conventional to modern architectural.
Demand for homes east of Jo’burg is predominantly driven by their location which is understandable when considering the congested roads around the various commercial and industrial hubs.
This is where the suburb has a major advantage. Heriotdale, Delville, Germiston South, Jet Park and Isando are minutes away in any direction. Very seldom would it be necessary to venture onto freeways to reach these destinations. Commercial hubs situated in Woodmead, Marlboro, Sandton and Rivonia will require some time on freeways but there are a myriad of side roads which are not as congested.
The suburb has access to some of the most reputable academic institutions like King Edward VII School, St Benedict’s College, St Mary’s School, Bellavista School and Parktown High School for Girls.
The prime location of Meadowbrook means there is access to all the exclusive entertainment venues and malls in and around Jo’burg such as Eastgate Shopping Centre, Greenstone Mall, The Zone @rosebank and Sandton City.
For those who prefer the convenience of rail travel the best egress and access point would be the Gautrain terminal at the OR Tambo airport which will connect to Pretoria, Midrand or to the opposite end of town to Sandton and Rosebank.
