Boksburg on the East Rand of Gauteng has a number of well-established or quaint-old suburbs. When gold was discovered in Boksburg around 1887 a town was in the making. The Angelo Hotel which existed in 1887 was the staging post for the region and situated on the Main Reef Road that connected to most of the town being developed in Witwatersrand.
