One question always remains. How are residential suburbs established? Thus far there are a few ideas the one is that town planners lay out a town or extension of a suburb, then there is the more current route where tracts of vacant land are developed for prestigious security, lifestyle and nature conservancy estates. Then there is the final part of the equation that is sometimes overlooked. Farms become smallholding and amongst the smallholdings, there is some subdividing taking place which brings the rise of a suburb.

It should for the following article being taken into account that Golf View is a farming suburb of Walkerville which is where the property values are gleaned from. This is also what will set the standard for the future development of Golf View when land becomes available for rezoned residential use. The other factor that contributes to the value of the farms is the homes, their architecture and size. It may be a logical step to maintain this trend to ensure the growth that sales in the suburb are still showing.

It is not a true comparison but the lifestyle on the farms in Golf View mirror those of homes in estates in the ostentatious architecture and tranquil freedom without the high levies and other rules that estates have to impose on property owners for specific reasons. That does put Golf View in quite a unique niche sector of the market.

Golf View is also not as remote as one would think as it is close to Vereeniging where there are industrial works and mining and then Alberton where it has its various industrial nodes and commercial hubs.

There are schools in Walkerville catering for the needs of residents of Golf View it is as with any other town a matter of choice.
