Denneoord is your average residential suburb, to some extent. Denneoord is located in George, the Garden Route and that means there is a perfect natural beauty to the town and its suburbs. The fact that the suburb is located in George also means it has a tranquil sedate lifestyle which pensioners enjoy and families that have decided to relocate here from elsewhere.
The properties in the suburb consist of freestanding homes, townhouses and vacant stands of which the latter there are not many left. There are also a number of smaller freestanding homes which are perfect for first-time buyers and an affordable retirement home and also the tourist industry where there is always a demand for accommodation due to the mild weather conditions.
The sidewalks in the suburb tell a story of that tranquillity and a high degree of secure living and the manicured gardens says the people enjoy the outdoors.
Sales values in the suburb have increased which is attributed to an influx of families that have relocated which keeps the market buoyant and demand growing. It seems that other than most residential suburbs the properties in Denneoord are correctly priced which also contributes the growth in value.
George does, like any large city have the same large retail outlets and malls, commercial and industrial nodes to compare on all levels with the larger cities inland.
There is for example York Mall, St Georges Square Shopping Centre, Eden Meander Lifestyle Centre and Cathedral Square Shopping Mall.
Like any large inland city there are reputable schools in and close to Denneoord namely Denneoord Primary School, Outeniqua High School, York High School and George High School. The difference comparing these schools to schools in cities like Jo’burg is the fact that the roads are far less congested thus cutting down on road rage and frustration.
