Danville is a suburb which is located in the north western region of Pretoria.
This residential suburb is well established with all the amenities in place. Danville has a somewhat controversial and unfounded stigma to it. Notwithstanding this fact, it is a residential suburb which is well located in terms of travel and in relation to other suburbs, schools and malls.
It is also in a prime location in relation to industrial hubs which is a major advantage with the current fuel prices in the country.
Danville is one of Pretoria's older suburbs, surrounded by many adjacent suburbs. Adjacent or close by suburbs include Pretoria West, Pretoria Gardens, Booysens, Elandspoort and Kwaggasrand.
Danville is also close to many industrial hubs, which in turn makes for easy travelling to some residents' workplace. These include Booysens, Pretoria West, Pretoria Industrial, Rosslyn and Pretoria North.
There are also a few schools to choose from if you reside in Danville, with Laerskool Generaal Beyers, Hoërskool Elandspoort and Laerskool Westerlig as available options.
Danville is conveniently located close to the Pretoria CBD which is an advantage for people working in the busy city center.
For the retail needs the CBD is convenient and thus most of the land in the suburb was devoted to residential homes. The homes are old and sturdy reflecting the era in which they were constructed. The design style has in some parts of the suburb, kept up with current architectural trends which add value to the homes in the suburb.
Major roads and routes are also in close proximity to Danville, including The Magalies Freeway, the R55 and W F Nkomo Street.
The home prices are driven by demand for the more affordable income bracket in the population with prices ranging from the mid R400 000 to above the R1,000,000 mark. Thus there is growth in the property values which is a good indication of the stability and demand for the suburb.
