Clarina is a suburb located in the north of Pretoria. The suburb started off as agricultural small holdings, expanding as the demand for residential property increased.
The suburb’s properties are of a mixed use with townhouse complexes and free standing homes, which has a broader target market of income groups. The reasonably young age of the suburb means that the architecture is quite up to date and mixed with the latest design which further enhances the demand for homes in the suburb.
The other factor which increases demand for property in the suburb is the fact that the schools in and close to the suburb are well established and access roads to amenities like schools, malls, industrial and commercial hubs are conveniently close by.
Retail hubs are close enough to be convenient. Malls catering for the needs of residents in Clarina include Wonderpark Mall, Wonderboom Junction, Kollonade Shopping Centre, North Park Mall and Ninapark Mall.
Schools in and close to Clarina are Gottfried Christelike Privaat Skool, Laerskool Akasia, Hoërskool Gerrit Maritz, Hoërskool Pretoria-Noord and Assumption Convent School.
The suburb relies on the surrounding industrial hubs for employment. The industrial hubs close by include Rosslyn, Mabopane and Hartebeesthoek.
Suburbs in and around Clarina are The Orchards, Heatherdale and Hestiapark.
Major roads are also ample, which link the suburb to other suburbs and towns. These roads are Mabopane Highway, Daan De Wet Nel Road, the N4 highway and Doreen Avenue.
With the number of small holdings still around the suburb of Clarina there is certainly land available to expand the suburb in the future, and the demand for residential property in the north of Pretoria is not slowing down which is a good indication that the suburb is a stable investment prospect even for buy-to-let investors.
