The diverse demographics of the eastern suburbs of Johannesburg means it is in some regions the ideal place to call home. This is due to the major industrial hubs and some commercial hubs which are crucial to sustainability of residents and suburbs.
Buurendal is a suburb of the Germiston municipality and commands a high degree of demand which is due to access to these industrial hubs like Sebenza, Meadowdale, Isando, Elandsfontein, Isandovale and Jet Park.
Access to commercial hubs like Bedfordview, Sandton and Rivonia are found on major roads and freeways such as the R21/ R24 which leads west, east and north with travel time in the region of 15 minutes if the freeways are not too congested.

When the Greenstone development was started it had a major benefit to the region and suburbs in close proximity as Greenstone’s various estates are aimed more towards the exclusive end of the market but those property values have treadled down to these surrounding suburbs.
Other benefits to the suburb are the access to the OR Tambo International Airport, access to schools and some malls.
