Suburbs on the Western Seaboard of Cape Town are growing in stature and status. This is in part due to the large scale developments of estates and new housing developments that have brought with it the increased building costs.
This is of course not the only contributing factor to the appeal of homes in a suburb such as Blouberg Rise. A fairly new suburb means the architecture is current consisting of the more fashionable Tuscan and Balinese styles with a mixture of contemporary Mediterranean architecture which blends so well with any coastal setting.
Blouberg Rise properties are in the exclusive bracket and property usage consists of free standing homes, townhouses and apartments.
This means there is also a second holiday home market which makes up a fair amount of sales in the suburb. The tranquillity and laid back lifestyle is what draws permanent resident to Blouberg Rise and then the benefit of white beaches and sunny skies.
Holiday home owners have the suburb as a perfect base form where to explore the west coast all the way up to Club Med and the various nature reserves along the way.
As permanent residents the important amenities like schools, malls, commercial and industrial hubs should be within easy access and the suburb benefits largely from a prime location in relation to these various amenities.
Industrial hubs close to Blouberg Rise are Montague Gardens, Paarden Eiland, Marconi Beam and Maitland.
Schools that service the region have reputable status, here is a short list; Blouberg Ridge Primary School, West Coast Christian School, Elkanah House High School and Bloubergrand High School. There is a good selection of convenience stores, retail outlets and entertainment venues such as Bayside Mall, West Coast Village and Parklands Junction.
Century City and Canal Walk Shopping Centre are new additions to the list of malls and are worth exploring.
