Big Bay in Blouberg Strand Western Cape has become a haven for exclusive property owners and investors.
The layout of this exclusive suburb had views of Table Mountain and the sea in mind as focal points. Property usage in the suburb comprises apartments, townhouses and freehold homes with a few vacant plots still available for the meantime.
Big Bay gained some of its growth in property values from two estates, namely Blouberg Hills Estate and Sandown Estate. The new fresh and modern architecture was the other factor in determining the generally high value of individual properties and thus creating a high level of demand for homes in the suburb.
Apartments in the suburb are in high demand within the rental market and there should be a consideration to invest in the holiday rental market within this sector of the market with the Western Cape being frequented by national and international tourists all year round.
Industrial hubs like Montague Gardens, Milnerton and Paarden Eiland are easily accessible on the major roads and the same with commercial hubs of Belleville and the Cape Town CBD.
The benefits of the suburb are firstly that it is not close to the bustle of the Cape Town CBD but close enough to travel every day. The second is the close proximity of amenities like schools, malls, commercial and industrial hubs.
Access to the various hubs is convenient on the various major roads like Big Bay Boulevard connecting to West Coast Road and Otto du Plessis Drive which puts the Cape town CBD at roughly 30 minutes’ drive.
Here is a list of some of the schools in Blouberg and Big Bay Sunningdale Primary School, Blouberg International School and Parklands College.
Malls close to the suburb are Seaside Village Shopping Mall, Sunningdale Lifestyle Centre and Bayside Mall.
