What does it indicate when there are only a select number of homes for sale in the marketplace for any given suburb? Well, there are only a small number of factors which spring to mind and one of the more important ones is residents do not want to relocate unless there is a need to downsize or relocation to another town or province. For home owners that upgrade it would generally be within the same suburb.
Beverly Grove is one such suburb of Port Elizabeth that can claim this positive attribute. Lush green leafy manicured gardens and a more general architectural style has drawn home owners to cement their families in Beverly Grove. There are of course some newer estate like developments on the borders of the suburb which has brought a more modern architectural style to the suburb which has added further appeal and demand.
All this naturally comes down to a reasonably high demand for homes in the suburb and it also has a very stable Median property performance graph.
One can surmise that the original appeal of the suburb was or could have been a prime location and a status which was influenced by surrounding suburbs.
Beverly Grove is categorized as an upper middle-class suburb with a mixed property usage which consists of freestanding home and townhouses. Naturally, townhouses often show more sales due to their reasonable affordability and townhouses in Beverly Grove offers a wider range of townhouses catering for a broad income group within the middle-class sector.
Here and there, one will find a vacant stand but this too is rare for such a well-established suburb.
Being a well-established suburb implies that residents have access to established public and private schools such as Lorraine Primary School, DF Malherbe High School and Linkside High School and naturally there are numerous malls nearby catering for retail and entertainment needs, besides the pearly white beaches and ocean, such as Baywest Mall, MetLife Mall Shopping Centre and Sunridge Village Shopping Centre.
