Hennops Trails is located 30km from Pretoria and Fourways on Road R511 to Hartbeespoort Dam.
This unspoiled family farm is in a truly tranquil setting and its natural beauty includes the Hennops river flowing through a valley bordered by mountain ranges to the north and south.

*HIKING TRAILS:*
• Dasie trail (2km)

Trails setting out from Hadeda Camp. At the beginning and end of the trails meanders along the Hennops River before veering away into the surrounding mountains. Two unique features on the trail are the river crossings – 1 suspension bridge and a cable car. There are interesting historical sites along the trail. Aspiring historians will enjoy seeing an underground cave where “Pruimpie” lived, traces of old settlements and the old dolomite mines, and the ovens in which the rocks were heated to melt and extract the lime. The indigenous trees along the river, the gorges, and the plateau areas make this an outstanding area for bird life.
*MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS*
Hennops MTB Trail’s unique features are the Hennops river flowing through a valley bordered by mountain ranges to the north and the south. This gives our 90% single-track purpose-built mountain bike trail a variety of terrain, some steep climbs and descents, lots of natural obstacles, and great views to enjoy.
The trail is 40km in total (Elevation gain 500m) and is made up of 6 sections with shortcut options after each section to make up your own distance.
* Beginner riders: Take the “Short Cut” at Safari and Snake and try the Kayalami section, complete with the Home Run back home. This will be 14km’s. Or take all “Short Cut” options to ride only 10km.
The first section “Safari” starts off with a 30m suspension bridge.
*4X4 / OFFROAD TRAILS*
Zonkie Trail
This trail is designed to enable any four-wheel driver to experience the true pleasure of four-wheel driving in conditions that will satisfy anyone from the first-timer to the experienced driver. For the experienced driver, the trail lends itself to achieving ultimate performance with any 4WD vehicle over a wide variety of obstacles including mud holes, steep rocky climbs, descents, and dongas. No do need to leave something for the imagination so let’s not elaborate more on the obstacles! For the not-so-experienced, tricky obstacles can be bypassed by existing tracks and service roads.
