Oudtshoorn is a beautiful well-known Town in the Klein Karoo area of SA’s Western Cape, the Route 62 wine route rests along Oudtshoorn. It’s known for its Ostrich Farms which is the Ostrich capital of the world. The nearby Cango Wildlife Ranch is a conservation park offering animal petting. The popular Cango Caves are a 20-million-year-old network of limestone chambers. Another claim to fame is once a year around Easter the largest Afrikaans arts festival known as the KKNK, “Klein Karoo National Kunstefees” is held in Oudtshoorn.
